I WISH I COULD BE PHOTOSHOPPED ALL THE TIME

WHOM EVER INVENTED PHOTO SHOP IS A FUCKING GENIUS
If this is the real Jennifer Lopez, than my name is Beyonce!!!!! I have been waiting for years to get my ass skinny so I could finally take over the world - stupid me, all I had to do was photo-shop my extra lovely lady parts and then I could be on the fucking cover of Marie Claire too!!!!!

The best part is actually in the magazine when she discusses how difficult raising twins has been and after finding out they were expecting twins Jenn says "Marc started crying,", "It was a joyous time. We were happy... He's emotional! He just couldn't believe it was happening. He'd had children before and this was like a whole new, special experience."

I can only imagine how special Marc's other children are feeling right about now!!!!

I am sure she is busy, but let's be honest - she's not busy because she is carting her kids around everywhere - she's got like 4 nanny's - so don't be tellin everyone that you slummin it trying to make ends meet while taking care of your two kids!!!!! You are not really Jenny from the Block!!!!!!!!

Here is a look at her new movie coming out - It looks horribly predictable and feels very "been there, done that"!!!! But I love me some love (no matter how fake!!!) so I guess I'll see ya'll there April 23rd!!!

STUNNING CAREY

PERFECTION - TWIGGY REINCARNATED
This is Carey Mulligan on the cover of Wonderland Magazine. Isn't she stunning!!!!! She discusses the change in her life from going from a "unknown" to a "movie star", how what she is wearing is more important than who she is portraying and she gives us the goods on her and Shia's relationship.

DAMIEN RICE

I FOUND MY NEW MUSIC LOVE
If you have not had the opportunity to be introduced to the incredible Damien Rice, please let this be your introduction!!!!! If I could only have one CD for eternity O by Damien Rice would be it. Rice is an Irish singer-songwriter and musician who can play the guitar, cello, violin, piano and drums. He has two CD's 0 released in 2003 and 9 released in 2006. I love how he utilizes such a variety of instruments and vocals - including a children's choir - please listen.

Included a coupe of his more well know hits.

MY BESTIE KERI

Here is one of my other besties - squeezed between director Tim Blake Nelson and co-star Edward Norton at the after-party for their "Leaves of Grass" screening held at Levant East at NYC’s Hotel on Rivington on Thursday, March 25).

Here is my Keri grabbing a bite to eat in the meatpacking district.
They say she was picking out some swag at Annelore boutique downtown - note to self - if I ever make it to New York - must go into that store!!!!

Keri is reportedly moving back to TV in a Fox sitcom produced by Arrested Development’s Mitch Hurwitz and starring Will Arnett! Keri will play Will’s love interest in the romantic comedy Wilde Kingdom, about a Beverly Hills playboy who falls for a humanitarian. Can't wait!!!

Here is the trailer for "Leaves of Grass"

KEIRA TURNS 25

My Bestie Keira turned 25 on Friday, March 26th - she spent the afternoon In London with her boyfriend of two years Rupert Friend. The two met while filming one of my very favorite movies "Pride and Prejudice".

2010 is going to be a very busy year for Keira as she just wrapped up "Last Night" which stars Sam Worthington and Guillaume Canet (Marion Cotillard's man), she also has two other films in post production and has three more in pre-production scheduled to film this year. Now I really wish we were besties so I could meet all her wonderfully influential friends!!!!!

MORE MATT PLEASE

YOU DID GOOD MATTY
Matt Damon was officially honored with the 24th American Cinematheque Award on Saturday, March 27 witnessed by his friends and family. He arrived with his wife Luciana Barroso, but made red carpet time for his bestie - Ben Affleck

The gala was opened with a speech from Jimmy Kimmel. "This is ridiculous, right? He's not even 40!" Kimmel joked. "We're giving the salute to someone in his 30s! Next year, let's give it to Vanessa Hudgens." He added, "I happen to know that Clint Eastwood did not get this award. Are you telling me Matt Damon is better than Clint Eastwood? Not even close! Even in the movies with the monkey, Clint was better," referring to the chimp in "Any Which Way But Loose".

Kimmel's ex Sarah Silverman, who created the famous "I'm F***ing Matt Damon" video, joked that she gave Damon his first big break. "The worst thing I could say is, you know, Matt Damon is like, maybe he's a perfectionist," Silverman quipped. "And his breath is like, Jesus! And his hair plugs are really obvious. Besides that, there's like nothing. So sorry, roast not possible!"

Silverman was not the only one to poke fun at the actor. Affleck's wife Jennifer Garner took the opportunity to talk about the world-known bromance between her husband and Damon. "Ben is half of one of the greatest love stories ever told. Not with me," she joked. "The actual prototype for the great Hollywood Bromance... Here's proof that love is alive and well in Hollywood. At least for my darling husband and my husband's darling husband."

The event turned into a roast when Affleck himself opted to tease the honored actor. "Matt always said to me, 'Ben, there are two things that are more important to me than anything else in this world.' Folks: 'Fame, money.' You did it, Matty! You got there!" Affleck told the crowd. Accepting the honor, Damon himself was in a good mood to joke. "I can honestly say there's a good chance that next year, Ben will be here, presenting this award to someone else," he said. "There's a lot of buzz about Vanessa Hudgens."

In case you are one of the only people in the world, yet to see the video "I'm Fucking Matt Damon" here it is!!!!

ANOTHER SHITTY CHOICE

Charlize at the 24th American Cinamatheque's Awards.

What is going on with Charlize - you would think after that Oscar travesty she would buckle up and get her shit together - what a disappointment. Clearly the recent breakup with Stuart Townsend has affected her eyesight!!!! Neck up she is stunning, but neck down is a compilation of bad choices. I don't agree with the dress or the shoes - I have seen similar cuts on her and they were executed flawlessly - I don't know what happened here, but her stylist failed her.

THE ROLE MODEL HAS LEFT THE BUILDING

It's been a long time since Jen and Brad broke up - almost 5 years. The first 2 and half years I spent looking at Jen with sympathy - the last 2 and half have been spent wondering what the fuck she is doing????

One bad, sad decision after another - craving, groveling, begging for attention!!!

She has not only lost the sympathy of her fans, she has labeled herself pathetic!!!! Look at her recent track record - arrogant Vince Vaughn, self absorbed douche bag John Mayer and now dirty dog Gerard Butler - clearly she doesn't give a shit about her rep - look how she allows him to stick his finger up her bum - in public!!!! Her carreer choices are starting to mirror her men - stinky cheese!!!!!

Typically she is boringly predictable in a black dress with a low cut top and slit up one side of the leg - surprisingly, but equally disappointing is her choice for the Paris Red Carpet. You go from simple black to this travesty - what is she thinking, she in Paris for God sake!!!! She seriously needs to rethink the people she has surrounding her!!!!

This is Jen and Gerard at the photo call for the Berlin premiere. Another boring ensemble - seriously what is going on?????????

I think what it really come's down to - is that I am disappointed!!! Disappointed that she has resorted to playing games. After Brad she had the perfect opportunity to show herself and woman alike that when life gets tough, you put your shoes on and start running. Initially I was impressed with how she was handling herself, especially when asked whether she felt Brad and Angelina's relationship had begun while Jen was married to him - she always replied by saying she would never have been with someone that would cheat in a relationship - therefore shutting up the rumors and showing a great deal of class. This lasted only a short time. Soon after she began trying to compete against Brad and Angelina for exposure time. She has lowered herself and in doing so her work has suffered tremendously. She is taking jobs just to show she is relevant - quantity over quality!!!! She is so scared people will forget about her that she has resorted to arranging constant photo opps to keep herself constantly circulating among the most recent tabloids. If I was her friend, I would recommend taking a break and reevaluating how you want to be remembered or portrayed - I think if she was too look in a mirror she would realize this was not the legacy she wants to leave behind.

JUST LEAVE IT ALONE

HERE COMES CAREY!!!!!!
Here is Carey with Pierce Brosnan at the opening for the creative coalitions = "The Greatest" on Saturday in California. They look like they are having soooooo much fun!!!!!

Carey is rumored to be signing on as Eliza Doolittle in the remake of "My fair Lady". Emma Thompson is the driving force behind recreating the classic - she is hoping to get Hugh Grant to sign on as Henry Higgins.

Remaking a classic is almost always a disaster - why mess with perfection!!!!!

Here is the preview for Carey's new movie with Pierce - it looks incredible - I have loved every movie she has been in - maybe there is hope for my "Fair Lady"!!!! If you have not seen "An Education" - rental must!!!!!

SOON TO BE MOMMA AMY ADAMS

Gorgeous Amy Adams, is seen leaving her baby shower on Sunday, March 28th. She must be getting close to pop - don't' you agree??? Among her guests were Debra Messing, Emily Deshanel, Rachel Leigh Cook and Emily Blunt. She must have received all kinds of amazing - I wonder if it's a girl or boy???

OFF AGAIN

It appears Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush(Running Back for New Orleans) have called it quits - again. Reggie opened up and admitted to the split on the Rachael Ray show - When asked how he feels about the cameras following him for "Keeping Up with The Kardashians", he said it's not something he enjoys . . . . “I play football, and most football players are camera shy,” he said during the interview set to air March 29. “We just want to be left alone, we just want to stick to what we do.”

Bush added that while he doesn’t love the cameras, “I do it because it’s important to [Kim].”

Kim has been going about her day's as though nothing has changed. On Tuesday, March 23rd, Kim attended the first Anniversary of her website - Shoedazzle.com. She was interviewed by E! and appeared upset when questions turned to her personal life and the fate of her and Reggie's relationship. Clip below

BITTING THE HAND THAT FEEDS YOU

SHUT UP KATHERINE HEIGL

Katherine is gracing this weeks cover of Entertainment Weekly . . . . Oh lucky us - we get he hear her talk out of her ass more. She either needs to find a new PR person to help her with her interviews or she should just shut up. She has been complaining about her contract on Grey's for the past 2 years and I am glad to finally see her leave. That being said, she should have honored her contract and left the show properly, with some final love scenes with Alex and then the good-bye's, instead she wined enough to end her season 5 episodes short of the contract. She is claiming that it has to do with family obligations now that her daughter is in her life, but that is nothing, but an excuse. She is a spoiled brat and I hope she sees a backlash from her behavior!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is part of the article from Entertainment Weekly, in regard's to Grey's she says -

“I am done,” declares Heigl. “We just finalized our agreement. Everyone had been working really hard to find an amicable and gracious way of letting go and moving on. It’s sad but it’s what I wanted.”

The 31-year-old actress reveals that it was family issues, not her burgeoning film career, that prompted her to approach series creator Shonda Rhimes and ask to be let out of her contract 18 months early. “I started a family and it changed everything for me,” says Heigl, who took a three-month family leave from Grey’s this season to bond with her newly-adopted daughter, Naleigh. “It changed my desire to work full-time.”

Although she was scheduled to appear in this season’s final five episodes, that is no longer happening. As a result, the Jan. 21 episode was her last as Izzie. “I know I’m disappointing the fans,” she says. “I just had to make a choice. I hope I made the right one.”

In response, ABC Studios issued the following statement: “By mutual agreement, Katherine Heigl has ended her successful run as Dr. Isobel Stevens. The studio wishes her well. Everyone at Grey’s Anatomy is now focused on delivering a shocking season finale and a great show for seasons to come.”

GOOD RID-DEN'S IZZIE STEVEN'S

SIT DOWN GERARD

SOFIA MIGHT BE MY NEW BEST FRIEND!!!
Sofia Vergara was on Leno last night - it was Awesome she handed Gerard his dirty ass on a platter. He has been trying to deny his dog-like-behavior for months, but it's pretty obvious in this clip that he's a dirty assmonkey. He totally does nothing for me, but then again as you know I hate arrogance and he seems to ooze it from every pour in his body!!!!!

Sofia is just killing it on Leno - she is hilarious. I have seen her in a couple other interviews and she must be one of the funniest people I have ever seen, her character totally emulates her real life personality. If you are looking for a hilarious good time, watch Modern Family on Wednesday nights - it's one of the only shows my husband and I like together.

Here she is on Ellen - she is sooooo funny - I wish we were friends - I think she would like me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you believe she has an 18 year old son - she looks 20 - lucky Bisnick!!!!

GLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

"GLEE"
Hands down best new show on T.V. - if you are not yet a fan - get your ass down to the video store, watch the first couple of episodes - I know you will be hooked!!!!! It's been a long hiatus, but Glee comes back Tuesday, April 13th. They just released the preview as well as a clip from Sue's Corner - regarding those sneaky gays!!!! - so fucking hilarious - check it out.

SUE'S CORNER - THOSE DAMN SNEAKY GAYS

Speaking of Glee
It has been rumoured for months that Taylor Swift and Cory Monteith (our Vancouver boy from "Glee") have been dating. They were seen yesterday hanging out at a bowling Alley in L.A., unfortunately it seemed to be a group outing as Selena Gomez (Taylor's bff) was also spotted - at least it confirms the fact that they are hanging out. Love it - could not have matched them better myself - hope the rumors are true!!!

Side note - So much better that Taylor Lautner - he is too weeeeeeeee

IS IT ONLY TUESDAY????

TUESDAY, March 23, 2010

It’s been a sad and rough week for poor Sandra and it sounds like it’s going to get much worse. Michelle “Skank” “Bombshell” McGee is claiming she has much more revealing texts, phone messages and even video of her and Jesse. This Whore is trying to cash in every dirty cent she can get her hands on – what a disgusting home wrecker.

Weekend numbers are in at the box office and “The Runaways” took in $805,000.00 with a limited opening in only 244 theaters. These are not impressive numbers considering the killer reviews, hopefully the numbers rise significantly when the film hits all theaters April 9th weekend. I am hoping to go this Friday – look for review Saturday sometime. Is it wrong that after hearing she was scouting out houses on behalf of my Robert that I now hope her little fucking movie goes in the toilet!!!! I think I may have jealousy issues!!!! I am torn because if it wasn't for her presumed relationship with my fictional man - I actually think the two of us could be great friends . . . too bad she is a boyfriend stealing Scanoni!!!!

It's only Tuesday, the week is young and I need to get blogging. . . . . I leave you with this my dear readers - "Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night."

Happy Gossiping, Adrienne Claudette

YUMMY!!!!

I don't think Brad can get any hotter than this!!!! Look at him beside Tom Ford - Brad may be the only man in the world who could Trump the "Ford"!!!!

This is Brad promoting "Kick-Ass" - a movie he produced starring McLovin aka Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Nicolas Cage and some new up and coming young Actors. It looks awesome - Trailer below

COULD THIS BE HOLLYWOOD'S NEWEST COUPLE

There are rumors that Jillian from the biggest loser and Vanessa Marcil might be hooking up. Supposedly they have been hanging out non-stop and it was reported earlier on in the year that Jillian in fact preferred her female counterparts. As for Vanessa she was previously dating Brian Austin Green (from original 90210 and current boyfriend of Megan Fox)and they have a 7 year old son. She was also married to Corey Feldman for 4 years in the early 90's - crazy right!!!!

POOR SANDRA

Please say it isn't so!!! I have been an endless romantic my whole life and despite all the unhappy endings I continue to believe - no matter how cheesy - that love really does conquer all. When I saw the way Sandra looked at Jesse throughout the red carpet promotions, during each acceptance speech and finally at the Oscars - DIDN'T IT FEEL LIKE THEY REALLY GOT IT!!!!. It was Hollywood's good girl with T.V.'s bad boy and it appeared to the world that they made it work. Turns out the fucking asswipe wasn't happy just having everything - he wanted more and more came in the ugliest, sluttiest package I have ever seen. When a man goes from Sandra Bullock to a bottom feeding sea serpent it can only be assumed he needed his ego rubbed. What a FUCKING LOSER.

This is the trash he felt was worth compromising his entire family for!!!!!!!!!!

Most tabloids are crediting the split to the Oscar Curse - whose most recent victims include Julia Roberts, Halle Barry, Reese Witherspoon, Kate Winslet . . . . Is it a curse or is it the inability of these men to cope with their significant others stardom????? - I think it has something do to with the later. Jesse's affair supposedly took place while Sandra was busy filming the "Blind Side". Bombshell McGee claims she initially contacted Jesse to arrange some pics at his shop for some PR - he then started giving her dirty texts and soon after invited her to his shop where he supposedly introduced her to his office couch!!!!. When asked why she would have an affair with a married man, she claimed he said that his and Sandra's relationship was a scam and had been over for some time. Initially I doubted the disguisting Bitch and gave Jesse the benefit of the doubt that she was just after money and PR, but when the text messages came out I knew that I had been dupped. I am so sad for Sandra - to come from such a high the previous week winning the gold medal of Hollywood to finding out the person you rely on most in this World has betrayed you. He is a disgusting Man and clearly she deserves far, far better.

Two days after the Story broke Jesse released this statement:
The vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded,”, “Beyond that, I will not dignify these private matters with any further public comment.”
“It’s because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way,”
he says in the statement. “This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me.”

It was reported she moved out of there home the day the story was leaked and is currently staying with family in Texas. She canceled all promotional work scheduled for the next few weeks, so it will probably be a while before she resurfaces. What adds salt to the wound is the fact that she has been along side Jesse this past year fighting for custody of his 3 kids from his former, drug addicted wife. They received full custody 1 month ago - I guess this is how a dirty fucker shows his support!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weekly Rob Update

"REMEMBER ME"
So my review is in . . . . . I finally made it to see my man's new movie. I know it's very pathetic and un-supportive, but I went into this movie a little nervous for Robert. This is his first and possibly his only chance to prove to his critics that he is capable of stepping out of the "Twilight" shadows.

I knew going in that it was a content heavy film and I was prepared to tread through the depressing parts with an expectation that some happy would result . . . the happy did not come. It was one sad situation after another, I felt as though we were waiting for one or all the characters to hang themselves from misery and depression. I appreciated what these individual characters had been through as well as why and how they found one another, what I didn't value was the lack of time given to actually enjoy these characters learning and loving one another before more tragedy ensues. This movie has so many layers - depression, abandonment, betrayal . . . . individually they are very compelling story lines, it is when you try to combine them and place them all in the same movie that it becomes too crowded with endless sadness.

I understand that originality and depth are difficult to achieve in an industry that is over saturated with the same story lines over and over again - so I give them props for trying to bring something new and original. On a positive note I felt both Rob and Emily's performances were strong and believable, my only critique would be that I felt they over acted in a few scenes which gave moments of cheeziness!!! I believe that the intention of this film was to ensure that the viewer walked away pondering the content and how it was relative to there lives. I walked away with three notions or lessons - however you want to word it!!!!

1) mend ties with those you love before it is too late
2) people are put in our lives for different reasons
3)Tragedy is a unfortunate reality of life, it is how we deal with these tragedies that defines our lives.

See what I am talking about - all very heavy!!!!!

I imagine this is coming across as though I hated the film - that is not the case. I enjoyed it way more that I disliked it, I just wish it was less constantly self deprecating. On a very happy endnote - Rob was more beautiful than ever - even my dear friend Kimmers had to admit he was gorgeous in every seen!!!! For that reason alone It was a huge success!!!!

It was projected that opening weekend (March 12th - 14th) would bring in numbers anywhere between 25 - 30 million, sadly the Twihards did not come out in full force like estimated and "Remember Me" only took in 8.3 million. I was shocked to hear the numbers were not higher, I think it might have something to do with the PG13 rating - I guess there is not as many Twihard mom's as they thought (that or they couldn't find a babysitter!!!).

As I was looking up recent Rob interviews, I found this clip of the mania that surrounds him at premiere's - it is fucking crazy - I don't know how they deal!!!!
Actually I do - it's called a shit load of money!!!!!

HE MAY BE PERFECT!!!

I guess Rob stopped by Norman's Rare Guitars to check out his selection and visit a friend, while he was there he chatted up the owner who said:

"He's really a nice guy -- very shy, very quiet", "People follow him around like crazy, so he kind of liked it because we're a little off the path here, and the paparazzi didn't really follow him in. He's friends with one of the fellows who works here from England".

I guess multi-talented Rob purchased a really nice guitar from the shop and while doing so the owner said "We're doing this thing for the Midnight Mission, would you sign this guitar for me?" and of course he said YES - how cute!!!!

Here is a pic of him playing around with some of the guitars from the store - love him!!!!!!

KATE WINSLET AND SAM MENDES CALL IT QUITS

SO SAD

Another Hollywood marriage contributes to the rising divorce rate. I know many of you are shocked at this recent announcement, it is horribly sad, but I can't say I am shocked. Last year during promotion for "Revolutionary Road" with Leonardo DiCaprio she really seemed to be enjoying herself a little too much. . . . . the lingering hand holds, the constant snuggling, the endless cheek kisses. I am not saying her marriage disintegrated because of Leo, but I am saying she was enjoying the outside attention more than a happily married woman should. The tabloids are claiming the marriage broke up because of Sam's involvement with Rebecca Hall (Vicky Cristina Barcelona), he has tried to squash those rumors by releasing a statement Monday morning disclaiming the allegations and saying they are "ridiculous", "utter nonsense" and "untrue". Kate has taken the kids to Mexico on the wake of their joint statement - the announcement was made only Monday morning, but sources reveal that they have been separated for some time. It's that damn osacar curse!!!!

I am all over any movie that gives a shout out to girl power!!!! The reviews have been really good and I am looking forward to seeing Kristen Stewart in a new role. If you see it let me know what you think - thegossipcloset@hotmail.com

SWITCH
Jen needs a hit - after the endless shit she has been pushing out she needs to show the public that she can produce some quality. Her sad ass movie with Gerard Butler coming out his weekend the "BOUNTY HUNTER" is getting some of the worse reviews I have ever read!!!! Fortunately for her, she might get a second chance and an opportunity to redeem herself. The wonderfully talented and hilarious Jason Bateman is attached to this project and his involvement along with good execution might equal the box office hit Jen has been searching for, for the past 3 years.

EAT, PRAY, LOVE
It's been a while since Julia was our leading lady and I can't imagine her choosing a project that would be less that a box office smash. The book has been hugely popular and appeals to anyone dreaming of a different life or self discovery. I can't wait to grab a couple of my girlfriends, go for a killer dinner, drink a couple glasses of wine and head over the the theater - the perfect girl night. "Eat, Pray, Love" comes to theater August 13th.

GET DOWN GRANNY

THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME - you have to check it out - 69 year old granny is the biggest up and coming DJ in the UK. I love the bejeweled headphones!!!!!!!!!!

SPOTLIGHT - NAOMI WATTS

NAOMI WATTS
As most of you know from previous posts I am a picky, paticular bitch - in regards to Actors this translates to mean that there are few I respect. They parade their personal shit around to snag headlines and remind us that they exist. Letting people know what's going on behind clothes doors is never a smart idea. We all have skeletons in our closet's the difference between one person to the next is weather they want to exploit those skeleton's!!! Actor's should want to be judged on their work, but in a era of mobile connections - visibility seems to be what has become relevant.

Naomi Watts does not play that game. Work is Work and personal life is personal life. She gives her fans enough tidbits about her personal life to feel connected, but not enough to feel like it is our business to know what happens behind closed doors. If I was given the opportunity to do 10 interviews in Hollywood she would be on my list - I adore her.

Here is a little clip from 2008 - I can tell that we would be besties!!!!

Naomi Ellen Watts

Height
5' 5" (1.65 m)

Watts was born in Shoreham, Kent, England, the daughter of Myfanwy Edwards (née Roberts), a Welsh antiques dealer and costume and set designer, and Peter Watts, a road manager and sound engineer who worked with Pink Floyd.

Watts has one brother, Ben, a year older and now a photographer residing in the United States. Watts's parents separated when she was four years old. Her father died during her childhood. Following her father's death, her mother moved the family to Llanfawr Farm, on Anglesey in North Wales, where they lived with Watts's maternal grandparents, Nikki and Hugh Roberts. During this time she attended a Welsh language school, Ysgol Gyfun, Llangefni where she carried out her studies for several years. Watts described her mother (also an actress) as a hippie "with passive-aggressive tendencies" and no money, who used to threaten to send her and her brother to foster care in order to get her parents to provide for them.

Although her mother occasionally moved the family around Wales and England, usually to follow boyfriends, she always ended up returning to Llangefni, living there until Naomi was 14. Watts says that she wanted to become an actress since watching the 1980 film Fame. In 1982, the family moved to Sydney, Australia. Her grandmother was Australian, which made it easier to obtain the documentation necessary, since Watts and her family were entitled to Australian citizenship.

Of her nationality, she has said:

"I consider myself British and have very happy memories of the UK. I spent the first 14 years of my life in England and Wales and never wanted to leave. When I was in Australia I went back to England a lot".

"I consider myself very Australian and very connected to Australia, in fact when people say where is home, I say Australia, because those are my most powerful memories".

After moving to Sydney, she attended Mosman High School. She attended several schools, including North Sydney Girls' High School, where her classmates included Nicole Kidman, with whom she is still close. In 1986 she took a break from acting and went to Japan to work as a model, but the experience, which lasted for about four months, was fruitless as Watts did not have the physical requirements for a professional runway model and could only hope to be working in promotions, which did not excite her. Watts describes it as one of the worst periods of her life. Upon returning to Australia, she went to work for a local department store and from there she went to work as assistant fashion editor with an Australian fashion magazine. A casual invitation to participate in a drama workshop rekindled her passion for acting, and prompted her to quit her job and dedicate herself to succeeding as an actress

Here she is on Ellen - love them both

Career
Early work (1986–2000)
Watts's career began in Australian television, where she appeared in commercials and series, including the soap opera Home and Away, the award winning mini-series Brides of Christ and the family sitcom Hey Dad..! She was featured in a supporting role in the acclaimed 1991 Australian indie film Flirting, starring future Hollywood up-and-comers Nicole Kidman and Thandie Newton. As Watts made the transition from Australia to the United States, she landed a supporting role in the cult 1995 film Tank Girl, playing the part of "Jet Girl".

Finding quality roles in the Hollywood system at first proved difficult. She appeared in the short-lived series, Sleepwalkers and numerous B-list productions such as films like Children of the Corn IV. Much of her early career is filled with near misses in casting as she was up for significant roles in films such as The Parent Trap, Meet the Parents and Man on the Moon, roles would eventually go to other actresses. Gradually, Watts attracted supporting roles in films such as Dangerous Beauty.

Breakthrough (2001–2004)

In 2001, she starred in The Shaft directed by Dick Maas, which garnered poor reviews. Watts starred in David Lynch's highly acclaimed Mulholland Drive. The film premiered at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival, winning her the National Society of Film Critics Award as Best Actress and the National Board of Review award as Breakthrough Performance of the Year. The surrealist film attracted controversy with its strong lesbian theme. Having worked with director/screenwriter Scott Coffey on Mulholland Drive, they teamed up to co-produce her next film, the semi-autobiographical Ellie Parker, which grew out of the friendship forged between Watts and Coffey.

In 2002, she starred in one of the biggest box office hits of that year, the English language remake of the Japanese horror film The Ring. The following year, she starred in the film Ned Kelly opposite Heath Ledger, Orlando Bloom, and Geoffrey Rush, as well as the Merchant-Ivory film Le Divorce with Kate Hudson. Her performance opposite Sean Penn and Benicio del Toro in director Alejandro González Iñárritu's 21 Grams earned Watts her first Academy Award nomination as Best Actress. She said of the nomination, "It's far beyond what I ever dreamed for - that would have been too far fetched".

She produced and starred in the well-received independent film We Don't Live Here Anymore. She reunited with Sean Penn and Don Cheadle in The Assassination of Richard Nixon, teamed up with Jude Law and Dustin Hoffman in David O. Russell's ensemble comedy I ♥ Huckabees, and starred in the sequel to the Ring, The Ring Two.

Career success (2005–present)
She then starred in the much-anticipated remake of King Kong (2005) as Ann Darrow. The role, immortalized by Fay Wray in the original film, proved to be Watts's most commercially successful film yet. Helmed by The Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson, the film won high praise and grossed $550 million worldwide.

... you’d better know why you’re here as an actor ... I’m here to work out my shit, what my problems are and know who I am, so by cracking open these characters perhaps that shines a light on it a little bit better.

Watts starred in The Painted Veil with Edward Norton and Liev Schreiber, released in December 2006. She has since finished the films Funny Games (a remake of the 1997 Austrian film by director Michael Haneke) with Tim Roth, and David Cronenberg's Eastern Promises with Viggo Mortensen.

The press has labeled her the "queen of remakes" because she has starred in so many of them; she is scheduled to star in the remake of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963). Watts has stated only that there have been "discussions" about the remake.

In January 2010, she was cast for the thriller film Dream House, which will be directed by Jim Sheridan. She also appears in the drama Mother and Child, which screened at the Sundance Film Festival.

Humanitarian work

Watts became a goodwill ambassador for UNAIDS, it helps to raise awareness of AIDS issues. She has used her high profile and celebrity to call attention to the needs of people living with this disease. Watts participate in events and activities, including the 21st Annual AIDS Walk. She is presented as an inaugural member of AIDS Red Ribbon Awards. She has participated in campaigns for fundraising.

On December 1, 2009, Watts was meeting with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and joined the AIDS response at a dramatic public event commemorating World AIDS Day 2009. During the event, she said:

It has been both unfortunate and unfair for HIV infection to be considered a shameful disease, for people living with HIV to be judged as blameworthy, and for AIDS to be equated with certain death. I have personally seen that dignity and hope have been strongest among those whose lives were changed by HIV.

Personal life

Her father's manic laugh can be heard in Pink Floyd's "Speak to Me" and "Brain Damage" and her mother's comments can be heard in "The Great Gig in the Sky" and "Money" from The Dark Side of the Moon. Watts is pictured in her mother's arms with her father, brother, the band, and other crew members, in the hardback/softcover edition of drummer Nick Mason's autobiography of the band Inside Out.

Watts dated Stephen Hopkins in the 1990s and actor Heath Ledger from August 2002 to May 2004. Since the spring of 2005, Watts's partner has been the actor Liev Schreiber. She confirmed in an interview in late January 2009 that Liev had in fact given her a ring, but that neither of them wanted to rush into marriage. This would confirm that they are engaged but had no serious plans for marriage at the time. Yet rumours that they had been married in a secret ceremony surfaced when a video of her and her family, which featured them planting trees for the Jewish National Fund in Israel, also featured Liev referring to her as his wife came out in early June. Liev, known to play tricks on the media, had once before called her as such in 2007 but later revealed that it was all a joke. Since there has been no proof given other than Liev's word in the video, it is unclear as to whether or not he is telling the truth or simply playing another joke.

The couple's first son, Alexander "Sasha" Pete, was born on 25 July 2007 in Los Angeles, and their second son, Samuel "Sammy" Kai, on 13 December 2008 in New York City. After a temporary hiatus from acting, she returned to work with The International, her first project since becoming a mother.

Watts is a close friend of Benicio del Toro, with whom she co-starred in 21 Grams. Watts is friends with actress Isla Fisher, and is godmother to The Mentalist's Simon Baker's oldest daughter, Stella. She is also best friends with fellow Australian actress Nicole Kidman, after having met when they were in their teens during an audition. Watts even moved in with Kidman for a time as nanny to the children of Kidman and her then husband Tom Cruise when Watts's own career had yet to gain commercial success.

After filming The Painted Veil, she became attracted to Buddhism, claiming, "I have some belief but I am not a strict Buddhist or anything yet. There was a lot of excitement and energy there."

Personal Quotes
'Pain is such an important thing in life. I think that as an artist you have to experience suffering. It's not enough to have lived it once; you have to relive it. Darkness is not a pejorative thing."

"There's a lot of skeletons in my closet, but I know what they're wearing. I'm not gonna act all ashamed of it" - on her early career.

It was total naivety that got me to Hollywood. I thought it was going to happen straight away. I told myself 'give it 5 years, there's no way I'll be here after that if it doesn't happen'. Cut to ten years later!

On set is where I feel comfortable. The red carpet stuff, talking about the film, explaining your own life, it doesn't come naturally. It's all necessary stuff I suppose but it's not my strength.

I find myself gravitating towards drama. It interests me. In the books I read, the paintings I like, it's always the darker stuff.

For the record, I am actually British as well as Australian. People always think I'm Australian but I'm happy for the Brits to claim me back. I'm offering myself up.

Instead of thinking 'how can I slow the ageing process?' I think 'how can I bend the rules?' Every year you add to your life, you're going to add a different experience to your face.

Whatever is said about roles drying up, I intend to keep working. Certainly now the roles couldn't be more interesting - playing mothers, divorcees. I think it's going to be exciting to play a mother of teenagers. The longer your life, the deeper it gets.

"We're so afraid of death in our culture, but I think if we understand it better, then we'll appreciate the life we have more." - in response to 21 Grams (2003).

"I've had people who've seen 21 Grams (2003) say, 'Wow, you're so brave to be looking like that'. This shocks me. I think that's what an actor's job is, to lose yourself in a role".

"You have to make peace with yourself. The key is to find the harmony in what you have." quoted in the Feb 01, 2005 issue of WOMAN'S WORLD

If I have to produce movies, direct movies, whatever to change the way Hollywood treats older women, I'll do it. If I have to bend the rules, I will. If I have to break them, I will.

Even during my most intense scenes with Sean Penn (in 21 Grams (2003)), we found ways to have fun. Sure, I have my dark moments, but I'm the girl you'll see driving down the highway singing to Blondie.

I always love being in the company of women. It's all about good conversation and great wine.

"The consequences are that you fear and dread being abandoned. You get a little tougher, and it's more difficult for you to become intimate. The pros are that you can adapt to any situation and that you're open to new surroundings. A lot of people get stuck in their ways, but I embrace change." on moving frequently when she was younger.

I'm a tomboy now. I always wanted to fit in with my brother's group, so I climbed trees and played with lead soldiers. But I'm a woman's woman. I never understood women who don't have woman friends.

I keep saying to myself, Oh, God, I'm sick of playing these dark, harrowing roles. I want a big paycheck, so put me in some dumb romantic comedy any day.

I had gotten to a place where I truly believed everything I was called: 'not sexy,' 'not funny,' 'too intense,' desperate.' All those labels they gave me, I took them because there wasn't a trace of my true self left. - on the struggles of her early career

To be appreciated or recognized is everything to an artist, but to be placed in a category where judgment occurs is awful, and yet we are all liars if we can't admit that we haven't all chased it or dreamed of it, even just a little bit.

Every time I'd think to book a ticket to leave L.A., something would come up-even just a three day job or something. That was enough to keep me invested. I still pinch myself when a certain director calls and says, 'Would you like to read my script?' I don't take any of it for granted because I struggled for so long.

Yes, I've had six great years of being in a position where I can pick and choose a bit, but it's not like I suddenly feel so calm and relaxed about that. Having spent a large portion of my life with a constant struggle and trying to find ways to make it work, that's what sticks with me.

There's a set of rules out there somewhere that says it all ends by 40. I hope to be able to defy that because I truly love my work.

To be a producer is not something that I look at as a position of power. I just think that I have these great connections, let's use them. I believe in it. You believe in it. Let's do it.

Auditions are just so humiliating and degrading. You get a five-minute time slot for a part you've spent six hours or more studying for or thinking about, and you get into these rooms full of people who barely make eye contact. They're bored and frustrated that they can't find the right person, energy that is instantly crushing and which makes it hard to shine. Going through that process over and over, you become so wounded and guarded that it's impossible to give you best stuff away. That's why I will never forget what David Lynch did for me. When he cast me in Mulholland Drive I was literally at the lowest place, and yet he managed to pull away all those masks.

THE RESURRECTION OF CONAN O'BRIAN

It's been two months since one of my favorite Late Night talk show Host was forced to resign from his time slot. I cried for him on his last day as he said goodbye to his fans and walked away from his dream. He has been on Hiatus ever since and because of contract restrictions he is not allowed to do T.V. on a different network until September 2010. It is a loss for the millions of people that tuned in to him each night, however fortunately for me one man's loss is another man's gain!!!! Conan has decided to take his show on the road and will be coming to Vancouver with Andy April 13th and 14th and I got tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited!!! I mean really this will probably be my only shot to see him live as packing up two kids to hit L.A. or New York is not likely!!! Conan has been in discussions with FOX, so we might be seeing him back in late night come September depending on whether he is willing to take a 30 million dollar pay cut (Fox doesn't have the same money as NBC). I have dug up the last you tube video from his last few minutes of his final show - please watch as it is wonderfully inspiring.

I'M BACK BITCHES

Alright I am back – sorry for the ridiculously long and inexcusable hiatus – Let’s put it this way . . . . If there was 72 hours in a day – I would still struggle to find the time to pee!!!!! I promised myself at the beginning of this year that I would prioritize my health and fitness, which is great from a “Living a long life” standpoint, but it puts a major hinder in my whole “Following my dreams” goal and an even bigger snag in my whole “Get rich and famous” goal!!!!! I hate starting something and not finishing it and even more than that I hate starting something and not doing it properly or as often as it should be done – so I pondered the future of my little blog and have decided that I will just do the best I can until I am able to procure some more time. This basically means until the next time I find myself waist deep in shitty diapers with a suckling on my boob!!!!! So until then my goal is to maintain the readers I have and worry about conquering the world when time permits. Thank you all for the emails reminding me that there is a lot of great smut out there so I need to get off my ass and write about it!!!! If you can't see the bright side of life, polish the dull side.

Please scroll down and make sure to hit OLDER POSTS as I made some late posts this week. Thank you again for being patient and I look forward to fulfilling your gossip cravings, Adrienne Claudette
